Hilton Durham near Duke University

Great location! Clean rooms and lobby! Lynette was so helpful with checking us in and answering all of our questions and she was so polite. Room service fast, efficient, and delicious. Definitely will stay here again.

The Hilton near Duke University in Durham was a solid stay overall. The staff was very polite and genuinely helpful from check in through the rest of the visit, which always sets the tone in a good way. This would be a strong option for a conference or business stay given the layout and amenities. That said, the breakfast pricing is a little hard to swallow. At around $20, with the Diamond benefit covering only $15, once tax is added you are basically paying restaurant prices anyway. At that point, it is tempting to eat off property and get more variety for the money. The hotel itself is clearly showing some age, but it feels well maintained. When we had an issue with the AC, maintenance responded quickly and resolved it without any hassle. That goes a long way in my book. The gym was excellent and well equipped, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a comfortable and dependable Hilton with great staff, a strong gym, and good conference potential. Just be prepared for the breakfast math to feel a little off.

I book my reservations through Booking. Com. The price was reasonable. The room was big and spacious and the location was good, right off route 85. My only complaint is about the front desk receptionist named Serena. At the arrival She was busy chatting with other employees and I had to wait. When I got my bill and it was emailed to me, I called to ask why I was charged extra fees. She said she can’t access past invoices. I was surprised because I just left the hotel 5 hours ago. She told me to call help support number but it was impossible to get to a human to resolve the problem. After several unsuccessful attempts, I called back hoping not to get Serena and I was in luck. I got Adrian and she went over my chargers and said that it was an error and it will be corrected. I was so appreciative especially after a long drive back home. She made all the difference. Was Serena just incompetent or didn’t want to deal with this? One kind person made your day better and it was not Serena. Thank you, Adrian!

I recently stayed here for a surgery at Duke eye center. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a place to stay in the area. Top notch in every way but the staff is really the crown jewel at this Hilton. They treat every guest like royalty. If I ever need to stay in Durham in the future I wouldnt even look around I would just book my stay at this Hilton. Thank you to every member of the staff for the fantastic stay.

A beautiful hotel with amazing service! We hosted our Alumni Reunion at one of their ballrooms and from the time we walked on site we were welcomed with the best service. Our alumni had a blast & everything was beyond amazing (food, service, communication etc).

This was my second stay at this Hilton, and both times have been wonderful. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. On both visits, I was greeted by Lynette at the front desk, and she truly stood out. She is consistently pleasant, professional, and incredibly helpful. Her warm welcome and friendly attitude make a great first impression and really set the tone for the stay. She’s a fantastic representative of the hotel and a big part of why I’ll continue to come back!

Wow! Even though we checked in passed 10pm we were met with a warm smile and the kind of hospitality that leaves a lasting impression. The room was clean and happy day the A/C worked beautifully! Can't recommend enough!

The hotel is nice. The service at the front desk was amazing. The bar and restaurant service was also great. Our room could have been a little better. There was some hair in the shower on the wall and also the conditioner bottle. I know if I would have notified the front desk, they would have taken care of it immediately. But we were only there one night. The fridge also didn’t cool too well. I am not sure if that was normal or it just wasn’t working well. Again, we were only there one night after the Duke game, so it was perfectly fine for us.
